<\/p>\nIt\u2019s always a joy to work with a new client who has specific ideas about what they envision in a future painting\u00a0 adorning their wall.\u00a0 In this particular instance, it was the last piece of an elaborate puzzle in a complete renovation of a most charming beach home on Boston\u2019s North Shore.\u00a0 As a focal point in the living room\/dining room area,\u00a0 the painting would live right smack\u00a0in the heart of the house.<\/p>\n
Together we all arrived at a size\u00a0 –\u00a0 30×30 inches –\u00a0 that would work best in the space.\u00a0\u00a0 A careful look at many details in my koi painting portfolio then led us to include a combination of\u00a0 the following key elements:\u00a0 craggy rock edge,\u00a0 waterfall, background water lilies,\u00a0 3-5 koi fish teeming in water.<\/p>\n

It was a fun challenge to fit everything in.\u00a0 I began with a simple sketch.\u00a0 Once approved,\u00a0 I had the green light to proceed with painting it.\u00a0 I\u2019m happy to say it was just completed on Friday.\u00a0 All of us who have seen it – including me – are delighted with the results.<\/p>\n
