Just back from a week’s journey to Steamboat Springs,\u00a0 Colorado to visit with my niece,\u00a0 her husband, \u00a0 two year old son,\u00a0 and new baby sister.\u00a0\u00a0 Delightful visit.\u00a0\u00a0 While there,\u00a0 I arranged to have an extensive photo shoot of aspen trees for one of my next series of paintings.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Love ’em.\u00a0\u00a0 Can’t get enough of ’em. \u00a0\u00a0 It’s a series I’ve longed to revisit after a number of years’ hiatus.<\/p>\n

In keeping with a scavenger hunt for some of my work, \u00a0 I re-discovered these four paintings. \u00a0 The waterlily is tiny. \u00a0 A gift for my niece’s sixteenth birthday or was it her high school graduation?\u00a0 Forgot to ask her. \u00a0 \u00a0 It made a sweet addition to the laundry room.<\/p>\n

The double koi pieces adorn one of the guest bathroom walls. \u00a0 These are early pieces circa 1990’s.<\/p>\n

Lastly,\u00a0 the largest one,\u00a0 a 40×50 inch sunset, was inspired by a trip to the Caribbean (Aruba).\u00a0 It found its way to a wall opposite my bed in the guest room. \u00a0\u00a0 Awaking with its warmth each day held me under the covers a bit longer before I ventured out into a crisp Fall morning.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
