Finishing touches put on yesterday.<\/p>\n

I try so very hard not to overwork my paintings.\u00a0\u00a0 It’s all about the freshness\u00a0 – \u00a0 a snippet in time\u00a0 – \u00a0 movement,\u00a0 and energy.\u00a0\u00a0 My personality seems to lend itself to quicker work.\u00a0\u00a0 If I find myself getting too fussy or precious,\u00a0 I get tight,\u00a0 bored and am likely to scrape it all off at the end of the day.\u00a0\u00a0 (Have done this more often than I want to admit \ud83d\ude42 ) \u00a0 And if I’m bored,\u00a0 then …..\u00a0 well,\u00a0 you’re right there with me in boredom land.<\/p>\n

Hardly a foolproof system.<\/p>\n

Janet Fish once told me,\u00a0 sometimes all you need to get back in the game is a visual break\u00a0 –\u00a0 go for a walk into nature –\u00a0 then come back and look again.\u00a0\u00a0 That fresh eye can make all the difference!….\u00a0 especially when I get lost in the process and just can’t see it anymore.<\/p>\n
